Jeff Jolly and F/D Racing notch second win of 2010 and move closer in championship chase July 30, 2010 Friday night was not only the SK modified 150 but it was also the double feature DARE stock event. We were able to win the first feature after taking the lead around halfway. The car was tight all practice but after Kris made a tire swap it really came to life and was on rails in the feature. We started 7th and had the lead around lap 6. From there the car was consistant and I was able to hold a couple car length lead over second place for the rest of the race. We gained a ton of points in that race and moved to second ahead of Kyle Casagrande and one spot behind Tony Membrino. The second feature was much rougher then the first. We started 13th and had to pick my way to the front twice because of cautions and having to restart on the outside. In the end we wound up 5th, another good points run finishing ahead of Membrino again and getting a few more points closer. Thanks to everyone in my crew for sticking together and putting a great car on the track. I also want to thank all my fans and sponsors for their support. Below is the press release from Stafford Motor Speedway. In the 15-lap DARE Stock feature event that was made up from July 16th, Stephanie Berardi took the early lead and set the pace ahead of Vince Gambacorta, Cliff Saunders, Donald Cook, and Jeff Jolly. Jolly quickly worked his way through traffic and was into the race lead by the halfway point of the race. With Jolly in the lead, Andrew Hayes moved his way to second, with Tony Membrino, Jr., Josh Wood, and Albert Saunders behind him. Jolly went unchallenged to the checkered flag to record his second feature victory of the 2010 season. |
